You can delete your MirrorBox account and its data at any time, from the app or the website. Deleting is permanent and can't be undone. If you'd like a copy first, use Download my data in the same place.
Delete in the app
- Open MirrorBox and go to your profile.
- Tap Edit profile.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You're signed out and your account is gone.
Delete on the website
- Sign in at mirrorbox.me/settings.
- Under Account, choose Delete account and confirm.
Can't sign in?
Email [email protected] from the address on your account, with your @handle, and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm the request before we delete anything, and we'll reply when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, @handle, photos, banner and page settings
- Your inbox: every message you received, your replies, and the chats on them
- Messages you sent to other people while signed in
- Your wall and everything you uploaded to it
- Your devices, sign-in sessions, push notification tokens and the IP records we keep for safety
- Your Sign in with Apple link, connected sites, and your subscription record
What we keep, and for how long
- Reports you made about other people stay so moderators can act on them, without saying who sent them.
- Moderation records such as safety checks stay for our statistics, with the text and your identity removed.
- A confirmation email tells you your account was deleted. Our copy of it, with your address, is removed 30 days after it's sent.
- Backups may hold your data for up to 30 days, until they're replaced.
- We may keep information longer when the law requires it.
MirrorBox+
Deleting your account doesn't cancel a MirrorBox+ subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your store's subscription settings so you aren't charged again. A subscription bought on the website ends when you delete your account.
